Cancun Palace
The project to restore the beach at Cancun Palace has already begun. It is developed and executed by the state of Quintana Roo in order to provide guests visiting Cancun with an expansive white sandy beach, which represents one of the main attractions of the area. While this development takes place, guests staying at Cancun Palace will be able to enjoy the beach at Sun Palace and Beach Palace. There will be hourly transportation available from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Cancun's Hotel Zone & Riviera Maya
Due to environmental factors, the beaches located on Cancun's Hotel Zone and Riviera Maya are currently undergoing beach restoration. The portion of the project affecting Palace Resorts is expected to be completed by the third week of November 2009.

Moon Palace Casino, Golf & Spa Resort
The resort has now a total of 98 slots machines.
The number of spa treatment rooms/ suites is now 36 and all the facilities are expected to be available by August 15.
Due to some delays on the delivery of equipment, the lazy pool is now scheduled to open on August 31.
The kids pools are also expected to be ready on August 31.
Samba restaurant is expected to be open by August 31.

Moon Palace is the host of the Global Flu Summit in Cancun
The summit begins today July 1 through the 3rd. The Global Flu Summit is being held to reflect on the lessons learned from the Influenza A-H1N1 virus. Attendees include the World Health Organization General Director Margaret Chan, who recently praised Mexico for the openness and speed with which it implemented health measures, as well as Pan-American Health Organization General Director Mirta Roses, ministers of health from approximately 40 different countries and the highest level specialists and representatives from more than 50 countries.

The resort continues incorporating services and amenities. The majority of the resort services are already available with the exception of: spa boutique (TBA); jewelry stores (expected to open by July 22); and the flower shop (TBA)
